Just had a lecture where someone claimed First Nations never experienced “mathematics” until White Settlers forced them too. Just for a start, preeeeetty damn sure pre-Western contact First Nation hunters needed to pack X amount of provisions in order to set out for Y amount of days and nights to bring back Z amount of resources in order to feed N amount of individuals. #resourceful #smartterthanilook
