UNBC Timberwolves Legacy Night

he 11th annual Legacy Night will take place on Jan. 28, 2026, at the Prince George Civic Centre. Guests will have a chance to see one of hockey’s newest international trophies up close and hear from Pritchard, who has served as the Keeper of the Stanley Cup for 36 years. Under Pritchard’s watch, the Stanley Cup has visited more than 25 different countries. The sport’s most storied trophy has been to the top of several mountains, and has been soaked by swimming pools, lakes and oceans.

“The Timberwolves Legacy Night embodies the spirit of UNBC, celebrating the excellence of UNBC’s student athletes on the pitch and the court as well as their dedication to building and sustaining community at the University,” says UNBC Interim President Dr. Bill Owen “It’s inspiring to see how this event unites northern British Columbia in support of student-athletes who balance outstanding academic achievement while performing at the highest level of university sport.”

Now in its 11th year, Legacy Night continues to raise vital funds for scholarships and bursaries for UNBC student-athletes. Since its inception, the event has generated $1 million with every dollar directly supporting Timberwolves athletes.
