📚 Language Learning Hour starts today! Find us in the NUSC Meeting Rooms every Monday, 4:30pm to 6:00pm and study together with us! ^-^
For those who aren’t in our mailing list, here are the details I wrote in there:

Hello everyone, this is Jonah, the president of the Intercultural Language Club.
The ICLC executives and I are introducing a new weekly event that’s going to be happening from this week onwards: Language Learning Hour. Since the club’s debut in January 2025, I’ve received countless questions about whether the club’s goal was to help people learn languages. It only makes sense that after so many inquiries about our role in facilitating language acquisition, we’re setting aside an hour a week to create a space where people can learn languages together, to be the tutor OR the student.
We’ve booked a room every Monday, 4:30pm to 6:00pm in this semester for this reason. Come find us at the NUSC Meeting Rooms where we’ll be studying together.
Can anyone join in?
… Yes, anyone can.
What should I do if I want help with a certain language, or if I’d like to provide help?
… In the week prior to the meeting, write an email to this address (languageclub@unbc.ca) stating what languages you’d like to help out in, or the languages you’d like to be assisted in.
Are we required to join in every week?
… No. If you have no language goals at the moment, or no assignments you’d like to complete with us, it’s okay not to participate. Even if you sign up to be a helper, we’ll consider it as help you’re just providing for the following week, not every week (unless you say so).
Will I be getting emails every week about Language Learning Hour?
… No. I will be sending one more email next week about this event, and that will be all. However, I will still be notifying what help is available and what help is requested through our Instagram (@unbclanguageclub) and Discord server (https://discord.gg/zJfPntNjrU).
Anyway, since I will be present in the room this week, available help and requested help are as follows:
Available help: Mandarin Chinese, Japanese, Korean
Requested help: Punjabi, French
