Downtown Prince George invites the community to come celebrate winter at a re-imagined Downtown Winterfest, taking place Saturday, February 14, 2026, at its new location, Canada Games Plaza.
Designed as a full-day, family-friendly celebration, Winterfest brings together outdoor winter activities, indoor experiences, local businesses, and community partners to create a vibrant downtown atmosphere — even on the chilliest winter days.
Outdoor festivities at Canada Games Plaza will include ice skating, street hockey, mini train rides, a petting zoo, food trucks, and live music from DJ Ant. One of the highlights of the day will be the There’s S’more Downtown Charity Contest, where local businesses and charities team up to create one-of-a-kind S’mores. All proceeds from S’mores sales are donated directly to the participating charity of choice, and attendees are invited to vote for their favourite creation.
Inside the Civic Centre, visitors can explore an indoor vendor market featuring local makers and businesses, along with interactive activities delivered in partnership with Two Rivers Gallery and the Prince George Public Library. Community Partners will also be on site, offering engaging, hands-on activities that connect families with local businesses, non-profits, and organizations in fun and innovative ways.
