Naloxone Training for UNBC Students. In the midst of Canada’s ongoing opioid poisoning crisis, harm reduction and overdose response are essential skills for future healthcare professionals. Join us for a Naloxone Training Session led by Registered Nurses from the Harm Reduction Clinic, designed to equip students with the knowledge and confidence to recognize and respond to opioid overdoses—both in the community. What you’ll learn: The opioid poisoning crisis & the role of harm reduction in healthcare; How to recognize the signs and symptoms of an opioid overdose; Safe and effective administration of naloxone. This session is highly recommended for all students, regardless of prior experience, and is a vital step in becoming a responsible, ethical, and prepared healthcare provider.
