This past Friday we had the honour of hosting our Indigenous Cultural Gathering as part of NBCGSS Student Week 2026, and what a special afternoon it was.

A heartfelt thank you to Alana LaMalice, our NBCGSS Director of Indigenous Student Affairs, for leading this gathering with such grace, warmth, and dedication to our UNBC community. Your passion for sharing and preserving Indigenous culture is truly inspiring. 🙏

And to our incredible Crystal Behn — thank you for welcoming us into your world of traditional beadwork, weaving with red willow, and dreamcatcher creation. Your generational knowledge, artistry, and the love you pour into your teachings left a lasting impression on everyone in that room. 💚
