Immigrants are a vital part of Canada’s workforce, helping address labour shortages across many sectors. Yet they often face higher risks of workplace injury, longer disability durations, and unequal access to health care and rehabilitation that support return to work. Drawing on research on immigration, work, and health, this presentation examines structural and occupational factors shaping workplace safety, post-injury recovery, and employment integration for immigrant workers in Canada.
