Join UNBC Sustainability on a fun and relaxed group bike ride to the Prince George Farmers Market. The ride will be at a casual pace with frequent stops, so even if you haven’t ridden a bike in a while you will be right at home. You are encouraged to bring your own bike, but there will be a few bikes and helmets will be available for those that want to participate but do not have a bike courtesy of the UNBC Outdoors Club.
The route is TBD, so check back for updates!
Need to get back up to campus after this event? There are a number of ways that you can get back to campus.
Take the bus. BC Transit busses in Prince George are equipped with bike racks on the front, so just hitch your bike on, get on, and go! The #15 will take you directly back to the University.
Bike back. This is for more advanced riders that are comfortable navigating Prince George on a bicycle. There are a number of routes in Prince George, but biking up the hill either by Ospika Blvd or University Way is the main way of getting back up to campus. This can be challenging if you haven’t rode in a while!
Hitch a ride with the UNBC Electric Truck. As we are going to be setting up the EV powered movie later this day, we will have access to the UNBC Electric Truck to shuttle people and their bikes back up to UNBC. Be sure to let someone from UNBC Sustainability know if you are in need of this assistance!
