Bat Ambassador Workshop

Join us in person for this free half-day Bat Ambassador Workshop to learn all about bats in the area and how to help. No experience needed!

Bat Ambassador Workshop

Attending this workshop will give you all you need to know to become certified as a Bat Ambassador! The first half of the workshop will teach you everything you want to know (and things you didn’t realize you wanted to know) about bats. The second half will teach you about what you can do for the bats in our area.

What is a Bat Ambassador?

Bat Ambassadors play an important role in bat conservation in BC. Bat Ambassadors conduct outreach events, participate in citizen science and other data-collection activities, and serve as a resource on bats for their communities. A team of keen, committed, well-trained Bat Ambassadors is an incredible resource in a region.

  • As this event takes place over lunchtime, free food and drinks will be provided while we get to know each other. Please let us know if you have any dietary restrictions.
  • There is a fair amount of learning/presentations/sitting, so we recommend a minimum age of ~15. But if someone a little younger wanted to go with a parent and is interested in learning, there shouldn’t be an issue!
  • Participants also receive a certificate – great for resume boosting!
