What is Student Week?
NBCGSS Student Week is our biggest event of the year – a full week of activities, panels, games, networking, and community building for UNBC graduate students. Think industry panels, game tournaments, cultural celebrations, and lots of prizes!

What we need: We’re looking for volunteers to join our event support team for the week. You’ll be the behind-the-scenes heroes helping everything run smoothly.

Your role: Help set up event spaces (arranging chairs, setting up AV, signage)
Manage registration tables and welcome students
Support event logistics (food setup, prize distribution, tech troubleshooting)
Engage with grad students and keep the energy high
Assist with cleanup after events

Time commitment: Approximately 12 hours total during the week (Feb 2-6). Most events run after 4 PM, and we’ll work around your class schedule!

What you get: Real experience with NBCGSS operations and event management
Direct contact with board members and community partners. Behind-the-scenes access to our biggest programming

An honorarium of $200 as our thank you

This is a voluntary opportunity – the honorarium is given at NBCGSS’s discretion as thanks for your time.
