This is a two-day adaptive mountain bike try-it weekend designed to give people with mobility disabilities, spinal cord injuries, or anyone who may benefit from adaptive mountain bike equipment the opportunity to try adaptive riding on the Tabor Mountain trails.
Participants will be fitted by trained professionals to the adaptive bike that is best suited for them, followed by a supported ride. Riders will be accompanied on the trail, and there will also be an option to practise skills in the parking lot/staging area for anyone who is new to adaptive mountain biking or wants a lower-pressure option.
Participants may be able to take part in more than one riding block, depending on registration numbers and equipment availability.
Riding sessions will be scheduled in blocks of approximately 2.5 to 3 hours, depending on the number of participants, equipment availability, and type of riding.
A Saturday barbecue/social will be held at 1:00 PM at the Tabor Mountain parking lot/staging area.
Final riding block times will be shared with registered participants once registration numbers are confirmed.
Dates: Saturday, August 8 and Sunday, August 9 all day
